The LAM 51.1 is an industrial laser distance sensor suited for robust distance measurements. The measurements are performed through an analog 4-20mA output or through RS-232.
There is a variety of measuring options such as:
- Single measurement after receiving a trigger signal through the digital input
- Single measurement after receiving a trigger signal through RS-232
- Continuous measuring on a fixed measuring frequency (up to 10 per second)
- Constant measurement with variable measuring times (robust measurements on varying surfaces)
The digital output makes it possible to, for example, determine whether an object is located within a certain range or in a certain location.
The LAM51.1 is configurable via RS-232, after saving the parameters the laser distance sensor works standalone.
The LAM 51.1 is classified as a class 2 laser.
