Fork sensors are photoelectric thru-beam sensors in a aluminium fork housing. These type of sensors are, because of the 5 kHz switching frequency, ideal for high-speed detection and counting applications where accuracy and reliability are of great importance. For applications with even higher counting and detecting speeds there are photoelectric laser sensors with switching frequencies of up to 300 kHz!

The photoelectric fork sensors are available with fork openings between 2 and 220 mm, with infrared light as a standard. If desired, ask for our versions with visible red light and the versions with excess gain. The latter are also suitable for use in environments where a lot of dirt or water is present. The fork sensors have a 3-pin M8 connector. The sensitivity is adjustable via a potentiometer. Most models are PNP-NO and NC adjustable or have a PNP-NO or PNP-NC output.
